The history of Pleasant Ridge dates back to 1795 when John McFarland of the Continental Army purchased a thousand acres of heavy forestland. It later became the home for many aristocratic families who built beautiful mansions. Today tall stately trees line winding streets. Medium priced homes in a variety of styles add to its appeal. Nearby Avon Fields is a public 18-hole golf course, and many recreational activities are available.
Pleasant Ridge is a friendly, Cincinnati neighborhood with well-maintained classic older homes and a flourishing business district located within the City of Cincinnati limits, and only 10 minutes to Downtown.
