Located on Cincinnati's most famous hill, its perch offers a fabulous view of the city and expensive real estate. The quaint, unique neighborhood is similar to Georgetown in Washington with its many brownstones and condominiums designed to take advantage of the spectacular views. Mt. Adams abounds with upscale art and craft shops, intimate restaurants and trendy bars.
Winding streets crisscross the hillside create unparalleled views of the downtown skyline and the Ohio River. Many of the homes in this neighborhood, built in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, reflect the architecture and character of the city's past. Homes that have been refurbished are highly desirable, selling in days.
Next door to Mt. Adams is the equally famous Eden Park, which is home to the Cincinnati Art Museum, Playhouse in the Park and Krohn Conservatory, which grows 5,000 of the world's most exotic plants.
DEMOGRAPHICS
As owners of some of the city's most sought-after real estate, the 1,600 residents of Mt. Adams have one of the highest per capita incomes in the city. The vast majority of households are either singles or couples in their late 20s through 40's, or the empty nesters who left their sprawling homes in the suburbs.
