Mt. Lookout has a lot in common with its western neighbor Hyde Park, including a fashionable town square. The square is home to Zip's, site of one of the best burgers in town, Blue Mountain Coffee Company, and the Mt. Lookout Cinema Grill where patrons are shown current films while being served dinner at tables.
Mt. Lookout's large, old homes also take on Hyde Park's classy atmosphere. Singles, young couples, and families of all sizes and ages find Mt. Lookout's homes and condominiums attractive and the neighborhood friendly. Alms Park is located in Mt. Lookout, and the area is close to Lunken Park, Ault Park and downtown.
Mt. Lookout also has the privilege of being home to the nation's oldest fully operational observatory founded in 1842. Mt. Lookout Observatory, operated by the University of Cincinnati physics department, remains a hidden treasure-only 3,000 visitors tour the facility each year.
